Harley Gervais, the founder and Principal of The G-Eight, is a seasoned conflict resolution professional with more than 20 years of legal experience. Her work is grounded in a deep belief that people deserve to be heard, supported, and guided with dignity—especially in times of conflict, change, or uncertainty.
Before founding The G-Eight, she served as a member of the Judiciary in Ontario and practised law in both Ontario and Quebec beginning in 2003. Her career includes several significant leadership and legal roles: Justice of the Peace; Deputy Director of the Association des juristes d’expression française de l’Ontario (AJEFO); Senior Legal Counsel to the Chief Justice of the Federal Court; and 15 years as Legal Counsel at the Supreme Court of Canada. She also completed a diplomatic posting at the Canadian Embassy in Washington, D.C., where she strengthened her skills in diplomacy, international contracts, cross-cultural communication, and strategic problem-solving.
Throughout her career, Harley has been committed to improving access to justice and building more people-centred systems. She developed tools to support self-represented litigants and has delivered extensive training on mental health, conflict de-escalation, and crisis intervention—expertise that continues to shape her trauma-informed, relational approach to mediation, arbitration, and coaching.
As the leader of The G-Eight, she brings together judicial insight, legal expertise, and a compassionate, structured approach to help individuals, families, organizations, and communities move toward clarity, restoration, and resolution. Whether mediating disputes, arbitrating complex matters, or coaching leaders and teams, she creates an environment where fairness, communication, and meaningful connection can thrive.
She is dedicated to guiding clients toward resolutions that honour both the practical issues and the human relationships at stake.

We make resolutions simple!
